About the Book

Worthy Enough
Would God Love Someone Like Me
Life is Hard; very, very hard. If you can use anything to get through it, anything at all, what would you try?
Food?
Exercise?
Drugs?
Alcohol?
People/Relationships?
Would you try God?

Maybe you tried some of these. Maybe you’ve tried all of them as I have. What I want you to understand—what I’ve learned so clearly—is that no matter how difficult life becomes, no matter how heavy the burdens we carry, there is always hope. Even when it seems as though everything is slipping from our grasp, hope remains, because it is a gift from God Himself. The little hole in your heart that you tried to fill with every and anything else, can only be filled by Him, because He is the one who put that hole there so that one day you would seek Him to fill it.
In my own pursuit of finding Him, I’ve gathered stories from my journey—lessons I’ve learned through God’s guidance, moments when His love and wisdom have shaped me. These lessons, which I call Kisses from God, have been my touchstones of hope and transformation. It is my prayer that, as you read these stories, they inspire and encourage you on your own journey
After the military, I flopped around trying to figure out my next chapter in life, and struggled more than I could imagine.
I found myself married with a small child, and not a clue what I was doing with my life. I continued to flop around through life like a fish out of water through my twenties and thirties, and started to get a clue somewhere in my forties.
Through the many seasons of my life—through moments of both joy and hardship—God has shown me one unshakable truth: He is the same in times of calm as He is in times of struggle. He creates us, shapes us, and walks beside us, even in moments when we don’t fully comprehend the dangers we face. He has never failed me in my trials, and He will not fail me now, nor will He ever. God is not about failure; He is about victory. Success is all He knows. Sometimes, He may need to redirect a path or reshape a situation, but His ultimate purpose always prevails.
It’s in the challenges that God refines us, teaching us how to rise above our setbacks, how to transform failure into triumph. It is through this refining process that our character is built, shaping us into the people we are meant to be—stronger, wiser, more aligned with His purpose.
We are all part of something greater—God’s victory. Each of us has a role to play, a purpose to fulfill. Our task is to discover what that is, to act upon it, and to remain faithful in seeing it through. Life itself is a rehearsal for the eternity that lies ahead. What we do in this life shapes how prepared we are for the day we join Him in His eternal glory.
